Wes was born in October of 2014. We knew he had problems. As he developed, his urethral valve did not. This meant his bladder backed up and couldn’t release urine. With all the technology hospitals have–ultrasounds, advanced blood tests, MRIs– they could not tell us if his kidneys developed.
