Collaboration Is The Key for Short and Tall Alike
It happens quite often. A car, just in front of you on the road appears to be self-driven. As you pull beside the vehicle the driver is nearly even by the head to the top of the steering wheel.
This is me on a good day. I once owned an SUV. Exiting the car was a short jump. Re-entering it was a laughable climb. The world is full of vertically challenged individuals. Go ahead and laugh, I am!
Two essential items within my space are invaluable to me. A ladder and a step stool. Without these, neighbors receive a knock on the door. My grandchildren get a phone call, after work. Friends visiting get pulled into action or the like.
I fault myself for putting things such as my cake carrier and my dutch oven on top of the cabinets. Then, as if for the very first time, I curse the struggle to get them down again.
My daughter has been known to refer to me as a “pack rat”. What she doesn’t get is that I tend to not disturb where I put things in a closet or on a shelf, so as not to need another’s help retrieving them. Notice that nothing gets put on top of those things, they stand alone.
When I will call for help involves a trip to my Storage Facility. Either a Christmas decor need or travel essentials (suitcases) calls to mind the reason. One or…
