Hello darling,

It’s our fourth encounter.

I can’t say I like hearing from you,

In fact, it’s quite the opposite.

You try to take away the best of my life,

take it all away, surround me with strangers

in another part of the country among white walls

outside it’s all green and beautiful,

but you lock me in

so I only see the world

unable to taste its magic and breathe its wonderful scent.

Once again, we meet.

Once again, you make me suffer,

make me cry, make me angry at why you’ve come,

make me wish you didn’t exist,

that everything was a dream,

a nightmare from which I will wake up

and be happy again

like a beetle trapped in a glass jar.

Every time you come, you make me cry,

and you know it, but you keep coming.

Every couple of years or so you visit us
