I Refurbished a Table With My Kids. Here’s a Step-by-Step Guide That Isn’t Helpful At All.

My children and I refurbished an old end table and I am annoyingly pleased with myself. I don’t typically do projects. In the not-so-distant past, we pulled out the carpet and put tile down in a closet. But after I laid the tile, we left the closet door and baseboards off for a solid six months or more. It’s still not finished.

My house is typically cluttered and there is no decor or style to speak of unless you count the Barbie corner of the dining room as a style (which I do… I think there’s a Pinterest board for it.)

I do dishes, laundry, light maintenance like vacuuming, toilet cleaning, and cleaning up dog excretions from the floor, but that’s about the extent of it. That’s all changed now. I refurbish furniture.

My oldest son is twelve, almost thirteen, and it’s super convenient for me because he is adopting middle-aged guy hobbies right when I should be. He saved up…
