SELF | LIFE LESSONS | THIS HAPPENED TO ME
I Thought I Was Ugly Until I Posed Nude
Then the other woman seduced and betrayed me
“Take off all of your clothing, including your bra and underwear, and use this wrap to cover yourself up,” the photographer instructed. “Ring the bell when you’re done.” She closed the door and left the darkened room.
I undressed, folded my clothes, placed them on the bench, and covered my private parts with the silky scarf. I shivered. What the hell am I doing here?
I was gifted a photo shoot. I said yes because it was free. The make-up, hairstyling, sitting fee, and one digital image were complimentary, and there was “no obligation” to purchase anything, but I anticipated a hard sales pitch upon arrival.
I rang the bell.
The photographer was stunning. She walked confidently in her 4-inch heels, wearing radiant make-up with long lashes and pouty red lips. Her breasts hugged her clingy top, exposing ample cleavage and brown skin. She was sexy, two decades younger, and had an artistic photography career in the hip Gastown neighborhood. Is “hip” a cool word to say today? I cringe at my 54-year-old outdated lingo.
