The Year in Being Human

Or, 80+ stories to read while we take a break

IIt’s the end of the year as we know it, and we feel… great! That’s due in large part to you: the writers who bravely shared their lives and ideas, the readers who cheered them on in the form of claps and comments, and of course, the ride or dies who did both. Thank you for making us laugh, cry, and question everything we thought we knew — it’s been a fantastic year.

It’s also been a long year, so we’re taking some time off to refresh our minds, bodies, etc. We’ll resume our regular publishing schedule on January 2, 2020. In the meantime, we’ve pulled together this non-comprehensive list of 2019 stories that hit us right in the human parts. We hope you enjoy reading (or re-reading them) as much as we did. If we missed a story you love — a likelihood — we invite you to share it with us (and the rest of the internet) in the comments. Happy reading, happy New Year, and happy human-ing. We’ll see ya next decade!
