This one goes out to the wide-brim sunhat I got from Amazon who lives in the passenger seat of my car. To my Tommy Bahama beach umbrella from Costco. To the UV protective driving gloves in my Etsy shopping cart. To the three little orange tubs of Ole Henriksen banana eye cream (sponsor me) in my refrigerator. To the other wide-brim hat, the brown one, I keep on my dresser. To my Omnilux LED Contour Mask. To my NuFace, sculpting micro-current device. To my Frownies stickers. To the thousands spent on professional facial services, a portion of which I probably should’ve invested into my Roth IRA.

To the Accutane, to the collagen powder, to the Tretinoin estimated to be delivered by USPS to my home on Monday. To the detailed note in my phone reminding me to research Fraxel lasers and mini facelifts and what ages to do so.

It’s not that I see all of these as moral failures or wastes of time and money because I don’t. Although questionably anti-feminist, these purchases and practices make me happy, make…
